Its about right for the area. Clean retail on NADA.com is 3750. Could probably get it for 3k. It looks pretty clean from the pics, but you never know for sure till you see it in person.

Its just like my 98 I got it for 2200 lol. We just got lucky is all, but if that truck runs good and is nice I'd be willing to pay at least 3k for it. More for sentimental value as it was the first ranger I fell in love with lol.

This is the truck my dad had pretty much. We never actually took a picture of it. Which I wish we would of.

I concur! It's almost the perfect setup. If only it was a 5spd.

Looks like a good deal, 200k isn't bad if the motor was taken care of, which by the way the truck looks, is probably a safe bet.

I bought a 97 new just like it! I would give 3000 maybe...the auto trans wont last much longer....and it would be better if it was a 5 speed!

No it doesn't state its been replaced, but you'd be surprised how long they can last. I know that particular transmission wasn't one of fords best, but you never truly know. I have almost 206k on my 98 and it still drives great with no issues. It is a 5spd though, but going by your logic. It probably wont last much longer. My 95 that I sold to HozII has over 300k miles on it and it still runs strong. You just cant look at the print and say "oh thats going to go soon". Only way to tell is to drive it. If it goes out it goes out. Your talking about a 15 year old truck with 200k miles on it. Anything can go wrong on a vehicle at that point.

5 spd trans are known to last longer..hence the "and it would be better if it was a 5 spd". I'm not trying to argue with you, I was just stating that I would maybe pay 3,000 because yes it is a 15 yr old truck and I think the mileage is high.

I would have to agree with him. 200k out of a stock trans is alot of milage. For all you know, it could let go on the way home lol

Yes it could same could of happened to me with my 98 lol. 98 was a work truck you could tell, but eh if the trans went on that splash it would just be time to build it better or swap in a 700r trans like some of the guys have done.
