03 to 08 conversion

hi i currently have an 03 level 2. I would like to convert it to an 08 front end and tailgate and then add the new larger flares. Would anyone be able to tell me what all i will need for the conversion? and if it is even possible to use a 08 front bumper on a 03. I believe u can but i just want to make sure. thanks

for the front you will need: hood, header panel, grille, turn signals, various clips and such. (you will be able to sell your power dome hood for a good profit being everyone wants those)

Tail gate you can just get the emblem put it in the center then instead of putting the Ranger emblem on the left put it on the right to cover the holes of your old ford emblem back there and your done there.

side emblems changed to 06+

now on the flares the larger one's have holes up alot higher then the flares you have now so either drill new holes. or attach it along the inner fender like normal then use Toyota flare tape to stick it to the side of the fenders. its been done before just check around the site

Is your truck an auto? if not then why not just sell/trade your truck for the one that you want? If you get an 04+ it would make the swap a little easier, or just get you an 06+ FX4 Level II. Now if you're a manual then I see not wanting to lose the twin sticks.

If you can get a hood, header panel, bumper, valance, grille and corners in the right color for 100 dollars you better go buy a lottery ticket afterwards.

Ditto. Also you'd be lucky for it to fit like factory. Sure you can spend a lot of time painting, shimming, and fitting but it probably still won't be as good as a factory truck.

You need the header panel for it to fit. The panel that the headlights are attached to Right now will need to be removed and install one from a newer truck. If you look at the grills from a 04 + the grills are a seperate piece from the header panel. YOUR grill is one piece that runs under the healights as well.

once ya get the header panel and a hood you are home free. its all easy from there. The only thing i cant remember is if the drivers side hood hinge is different on the newer trucks. For some reason that is sticking out in my head.

Is your grille flaking paint? Its looks like that in a few pictures. That still leaves the bumper, valance and corners though.

No, the holes that go into the side of the fender aren't the same as the smaller flare. I do believe the holes in the wheel well are same though.
