retrofitting projectors into stock headlights
Hello Ranger Forum,
Ive been wanting to do this mod/ retrofit for an extremely long time. Now that i finally have the funds to do so i have now started.
Direct Link to retrofit kit: Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit - Complete Kits from The Retrofit Source LLC (6k)
This isn't going to contain a lot of pictures during the process because i feel there is plenty of other sources for that on here. Here is a few pics i have taken of what i have done so far (3 hours into the project)
shroud
projectors!
Headlight Casing
More pictures will be coming

Yeah that's the main reason why i went with these projectors over the halos. I don't like that look even though its a lot less money and less work. It will be worth it in the end.

Yeah i plan on that. I don't have any right now so tomorrow i will be going out to get silicone to seal the back part of the projector housing up. What do you suggest using to seal up the lens? I was thinking silicone or some type of waterproof sealant.

Well, I dont think its the worrying about melting thats the issue in all of that.. Need to remember, that projector housing is -alot- heavier then whatever the housing was itself.. so when you take a bump its going to bounce it real good up inside there.. so you need to -really- secure it or else your going to have a light bouncing around.. plus you need to make sure they are adjusted properly before you seal it - as you dont want the beam going crooked off any other way.
Do those have a high beam by chance?

its the bi-xenon kit so Im going to say it has both hi/lo.
Im wondering how good this would work for my 99, Ive been wanting projectors in it for some time, but dont really want to buy the cheap ebay ones.
my only problem would be the same as your facing, which is wiring. I hate wiring things...
