Icon5 1998-2005 rear chrome bumper

Hey guys,

Have you ever noticed how all the 1995-2005 rear chrome bumpers either have a dent or a ding on them?
It seems to be more prominent on the passenger side. I noticed my little ding like two years after I bought the truck. Is the metal paper thin or what?
Would it be possible to pull the little ding out with one of those DIY dent pullers or would the chrome plating crack? The 93-94 bumpers have the black plastic guard on them and I think they should have stayed. What do you think?

I wouldn't say all of them have a ding... I've seen absolutely perfect ones. The one I put on my truck after being rear ended was spotless. But I would say all of them start to get a funky twist to 'em.

No, I don't think all of them have a dent or a ding, but when you see a perfect one without even a ding it's like a Kodak moment ... lol
I'm getting ready to replace my chrome bumper with a black color keyed bumper. Are they pretty easy to remove?
