2006 XL Fog Light mounts?

I'm trying to figure out how the factory fog lights actually mount. I've found all kinds of threads on how to wire them, but nothing shows the actual mounting. Any hep would be greatly appreciated!

These are the lights i think i need....

but i cant for the life of me figure out how they mount, nor can i find any info on another bracket that's needed.

They should mount right up.

I know they did on my 06 xl. The holes and mounting pieces were in mine; I just had to buy the setup you posted as well as the bolts/screws.

Let me see what I can find still saved as mine is long gone.

As far as what you need, this is what ive found so far as it will just help what you already posted.

But my lights with wiring. I had Buggman make this setup for me as I wanted a very nice factory still setup that I could turn off and on with a button in the truck; or run it like factory and be on with the lights.

Id greatly recommend if your truck isn't pre-wired (as most xl's aren't) to contact him and have him make you the same thing. It was cheap, completly plug and play, and I couldn't have had one better made then what he did himself.

Still working on finding my stuff about mounting.

EDIT: as far as mounting bolts, they are M6 x 1.0 which you should be able to get anywhere locally.

No, mine isn't prewired. What do the lights bolt to? There isn't anything behind my valence that even looks remotely close to bolt hole that line up with the clips on the lights.

Thanks for the help!

so they're cutout? If they're not cut out and have actual holes for the fog lights, it wont have mounts for them. yes our roads up here in MA are still covered in salt lol

Take the openings out and try and put it up and see.

I know when I took mine out on my 06 xl it had places to bolt it up, so I dont know why yours wouldn't be the same.
