2010 ford ranger bumper replacement!

Hi! I ordered part one of the bumper because the metal is really rusted. I was hoping to use all the other parts! I attempted to the first of the 4 bolts 2 and 4 and in the process part 3, assembly bracket broke and the bolt is stuck and can’t seem to undo it! It’s looking like I will need to cut it off. No bolt sizes are listed so unclear if I can just go to the hardware store and if I can get away within the brackets!

i went searching online and each 2 and 4 is about $9 and the bracket each is about $8! If I order 2 brackets and 4 each of the bolts and nuts and am looking at $82 bucks!!

crazy! I don’t even really understand the purpose of that small bracket in this assembly and why are these bolts/parts so expensive?!?

If you have access to get a wrench/socket on all of the bolts, then #3 is unnecessary. What you need to do is go to the hardware store with the old hardware, figure out the thread size (most will have a little display that you can thread nuts or bolts through to figure out the size and thread pitch) and then make sure you get the proper grade. Grade 8 or higher is a safe bet for a rear bumper. I'm not sure what the factory used.

How does the bracket work when you don’t have access to all the bolts? Does it alllow you to turn all the bolts without both a wrench and socket?

It just holds the bolts in place for hard-to-reach areas. Ford uses the same idea for some of the nuts on the truck as well, like the ones that hold the shackle to the shackle hanger.
