2019 Ranger bed cover suggestions

Hi, I am looking for any constructive advice on a good folding bed cover. I had a 2004 (probably bought in 2006) ranger with a inexpensive roll up I installed shortly after getting the truck. I would say for the vast majority of it’s life it was rolled up as I was (I suspect) too lazy to unroll it when done. Over time the Velcro no longer stuck, so roll ups are out of the question. I have spent countless hours on this board as well as reading customer reviews. I now have a new (to me) 2019 ranger that I would like to put a bed cover on.

As for use, I am a bit older so I use my bed occasionally to carry studs, plywood various tools. I can probably count on one hand the times I needed the full bed, (moved some furniture for my daughter 5 years ago, moved a hot tub lid just a few weeks ago….). I would like to think that whatever I choose will keep the bed as dry as possible, knowing that none are 100% waterproof.

I think I have narrowed it down to Xtang solid fold which I understand only opens 2/3 but also seems to come off very easily should I need the full bed. The other choices would be the Bakflip MX4 or the Undercover flex, both comparatively priced and offer full access (more or less).

Any real world use comments about any of these or suggestions that I may have missed keeping in mind my criteria and wanting to keep in this prices range ($1000 or so)?

Thanks for any input.

I had a BAK Flip on my F150 for 6 years without any problems, folded up when I needed to use the bed or just strapped the load on top if I needed to,
it was rated at 400lbs, I already ordered a new BAK Flip that is in the garage awaiting the arrival of my Ranger next week.

Thanks for the response. Hoping to hear from others that have had the undercover or solid fold

I have an Undercover...... leaning against the back of my shed. I changed to a topper for the volume.
