Wondering what is needed to swap my 89 to a 83 front. I want to modify the grill to a mesh muscle car style with round headlights behind it. What would I need other than fenders and hood to do this swap?

Don’t know if you ever got your question answered, but I just joined the site today and wanted to share what little I know. I’m hoping to do the same thing with a ’91 that I’m looking at, since I love the Gen 1 look, but this ’91 is almost totally rust-free. It should be a matter of swapping the fenders, hood, grill, front bumper (the ’89-92 bumper wraps overtop of the lower front fender corners, while the ones from ’83-88 stop short), and the radiator support piece (aka - “the clip”). If you get this, let me know how you made out!
