Painted the Fender Flares

Finally got around to painting them.

The truck without flares.

I didn't really think about before pictures until almost too late.
Still wet from washing, about the be painted.

First coat of paint.

Second coat applied and drying in the "sun".

And the finshed product, waiting to dry a little before going on the truck.

If you do the flares, I say do the front valence too. If flows better that way.

Being DWB, I would color match. The black wouldn't really pop out on your truck. I love the dark/light contrast on my truck.

Where'd you buy the SEM paint from? I need to do the plastic on my back bumper black instead of gray.

I think Shane (Fx4wannabe01) had DWB in a rattle can, ask him about it.

A local paint store, Southern Auto Color.

That paint you used looks good. You could have painted it with Krylon Fusion and not had to do any prep except cleaning.

I considered Krylon Fusion, but the SEM stuff is made specifically for vehicles. The only prep I did was with B52 cleaner and a stiff brush.
