adhesive hood scoop?

So, I'm a hood scoop newb, so being that this "helps keep the engine cooler", do you have to cut a hole in the hood and then stick this over it?

Thanks,

Dave

bud, those are just stick on hood scoops, if you did cut a hole in the hood, and opened the hood scoop up(theyre solid all the way around, where the air comes in is just a peice of plastic made to look like they are real) it might keep the engine like 5 degrees cooler? theyre just for show, i would know, i had the second ones on my old truck.

Well not sure about the first one, but if it IS a strait through design, you would have to cut a hole in your hood, the 2nd one says "Transform your stock hood into a simulated "Performance Hood"" its just a stick on lump...

Eh. I've never been a fan of those things. I wouldn't buy 'em.

But I do think a true shaker scoop would be badass.
