want to do a BL on my truck... how tall before the frame looks retardedly low, compaired to the rockers... also, what do i have to change to make it all work? i know 1" i don't need to extend anything... do i? how about 2 and 3?

like i don't want my truck looking like this...

get a 3" BL like everyone else and you'll be good. The sliders will also help hide the frame.

anyways, 3" is the standard. you can piece together a 1" if you really wanted to. but search summit for their brand 3" body lift. its the exact same thing as the Performance accessories lift, but about half the price.

it'll say its for 98ish rangers iirc but things havent changed much since then

 

3" is perfect! I would rather do another body lift than a suspension lift. I found the body lift really easy. I was nervous after reading all these threads on here but I guess I got lucky. Far as the frame goes..Even with a body lift you will still not be showing as much frame as a stock GM truck

did i read that right? i can use the lift kit for a 98 ranger on my 07?

 

a few things need to be moved around

fan shroud being one of them iirc

i dont think i really extended anything else. just be sure you're good to go before jacking up the body

the hose from the filler neck to the gas tank needs to be extended. the part that comes with the body lift kit i guess doesnt work on neweer trucks. but i was able to extend my stock hoses with what was already there. just loosened the hose clamps and pulled them out a bit

 

everything comes with the kit on the BL..ground straps, radiator bracket.. i had to extend a vacuum hose but that was like 6 months after the BL and it was stretched tight..I took mine off last month..easy going on easy coming off..its just common sense with the install..
