I'm looking to replace the grey plastic tailgate handle on my 01 edge. I was wondering if any models of the rangers came with a black metal handle. I'll be out cruisng the junkyards. Would handles from any other trucks work on the ranger. and yes I did use the search and came up with nada.

Its just as cheap...if not cheaper...then a junk yard handle. To my knowledge most rangers come with a plastic handle, ive talked to a few guys of different years and they have all had plastic handles.

I believe the 99 and older, possibly it was 97 and older had metal tailgate and door handles. They are the plastic "styled" ones like we have. When my brother was rear ended, the body shop got a tailgate from an older truck, and didn't replace the handle. And we noticed it. Made them put the correct handle on it.

Get that one from underdog that is a good price and its new that is a better deal than the junk yard IMO
