Today I gave it a good wash, touched up all the paint, blacked out the ranger emblems. waxed it(phew), and redid my sub wiring as well as adding some tweeters!

hopefully I'll color match my ford emblems soon..I'm afraid I'm going to mess them up big time haha

I usually don't like blacked out emblems but they look good on your truck. Props on how clean it is for winter too!

Looks Good

Color matching the Ford emblem is actually pretty easy. Just take your time when taking them apart.

looks real good! the HIDs really POP with the black theme.

If i may suggest, paint the front bumper and splash guard black as well. they go grey and its u.g.l.y.

Good looking truck, i like how those stock wheels look. How did you go about painting them? I am thinking about doing something similar to mine.

My lights are actually blue from the L.E.D. strips I put in them when I did the Headlight mod, they are quite deceiving haha Though I was thinking about doing a H.I.D. kit...orrr since I don't have much money at all just replace the blubs with something that would give me the same effect, would you have any advice on that or suggestions on cheap bulbs that would do that for me? Also I might plasti-dip my bumpers soon so I can have them black until I get the money to get an actual paint job on them some day. (The life of a poor college student siggghhhhh )

Well, for the wheels I just sanded them down a bit, and roughed them up to try to get the paint to stick a little better, then did 3 layers of primer on the whole wheel. Next I painted the outside rim of the wheel with the aluminum colored spray paint that I picked up from walmart(it's actually held up the best of all the paint) ..I did a few coats of that and let it dry over night...after I came back the next day and taped over the aluminum rim and painted the inside of the wheel with black gloss paint..did a few coats of that and let it dry for a while then clear coated few coats over it..removed the tape...I originally had my center caps painted black too but, I didn't really prep the chrome to be painted correctly so the paint recently peeled off and I thought it looked cool so I just left it..if it helps I can post up an old picture of the truck when the center caps were painted black if you'd like to see it! Hope this helped at-least a little!

Here is what mine looks like

I speak from experience, I broke the first one. Went to the local Wrecking Yard and they sold me three for $10. So make sure its really hot before prying it apart and keep heating it as your taking it apart.

I also like those wheels, a really classic look. AWESOME

Nice looking truck.

Two things though...

The head light are a little weird but that's your call.

It needs a Steppie Bed, lol, I love the std cab Steppies and in blk it would look even better.

I will be sure to keep it nicely heated when I go to do it! Thanks for the heads up on that!

and thanks, I'm glad someone said that about the wheels hahah I was aiming for the classic look when I went back and took the paint off the center caps!

Matter of Opinion

Matter of opinion I suppose haha, I like the blue, But, I kind of wish I had done them with white LED's just so I could run them while I'm driving here in Virginia without getting pulled over

Thanks!

and yeahhh, the blue is a bit different but, I enjoy it. Though like I told SP7 a little bit ago the only think I kind of wish I had did differently was use white LED's so I could run them while I'm driving here in Virginia and not get pulled over all the time :( The steppe looks awesome on your truck(Nice truck by the way man, it looks great!) but, I haven't quite decided where I'm going with mine yet..though I think keeping my regular bed is in the direction it's headed
