Waag has the new style grille guard from bumper to hood. Im gonna try one more time in the next few months for another group buy for the old style that covers just the bumper.

Only problem with the Bullbar is that if you put lights on, you lose the use of your tow hooks (if you have them).

lose some ground clearance too. The warn would be nice if it was wrap around.

i prefer the full brushguard, not the bullbar. they sit too low and you lose your tow hooks.

I'm a big fan of the westin bar. Wanted one for my truck but never got one. I only like em for looks, cuz they serve absolutely no purpose otherwise.

There's two options from Westin: The Safari Bar, and the Ultimate Bull Bar

Here is the Safari Bar

The Bull Bar is made of 2.5" Tubing, while the Safari Bar is made of 2" (IIRC). The Bull Bar mount is a little better looking than the Safari Bar IMO, and comes with a removable skid plate.

I got the Bull Bar because I didn't like how you could see the Safari Bar mounting brackets hanging out there. The Bull Bar has the look of coming out from under the truck, which I preferred more. Plus, it's bigger and beefier.

IMO, go with the chrome-plated SS, as those have a lifetime warranty against rust. The black painted ones only carry a 5-year warranty.
Check out Westin's website for more details and info.

[/sales pitch] haha

To be honest - with my '01 XLT Front Lower Valance - I don't see how you can install this WITHOUT a bodylift - it fits like a glove with the bodylift on.. since it mounts using the stock front bumper bracket locations. Looks great, is nice and snug - its a little "shaky" stock mounting - I fabbed up some quick bent metal 3/8"' flat stock and mounted it even better to the top of the bumper through the tow hook opening using some crush pipe and such.. worked fantastic and its as solid as the front bumper now

The Hunter Bull Bar mounting brackets also make a cool spot to mount the most awsomely awesome fog lights.. Subaru Style!
