Color Options for Street Scene Grille

I'm ordering it next payday... the 23rd. I'm not quite sure what exactly I want to do about the color.

I really like the look of Larson's (r0ng5) and Mike's (Drayke) trucks with the blacked out billet grilles and I also like Sean's (Strider0O0) SS grille painted a glossy black. And Zach's (zabeard) truck just looks phenomenal without paint.

I will be doing the headlight mod for my next mod, and I'm not sure if I want to:

A) Paint it a glossy black
B) Paint it with the new Duplicolor Truck Bed Liner (my flares are, too)
C) Just leave it.

Here's your chance to vote. I'll probably do what the poll says when I get the grille in the mail.

Check my avatar for my latest pics, without excessive body damage and no flares on it...lol.

Oh yeah, one last thing... I will also have a Jusnes Light bar and 4 Hella 500s attached, also...

Thanks guys!!

i say leave it, because if you paint it gloss black, it'll chip if rocks hit it (albeit from the road or offroading)

If you wanted black, should've bought a black one

(i still voted black thought, fyi)

good luck with it.

I can't get the black one, only brushed, which can be painted, and chrome, which will definitely rust on my truck. I haven't ordered it yet, either...

i drive about 40 miles a day on nothing but construction roads... plus i went through a crappy, crappy winter with rocks, salt, etc, and mine is in fine condition. if you paint it, don't half *** it, and it'll hold up. for safety's sake... i'll be doing a touch up coat this fall in preperation for the winter season. as of right now... i could probably look closely at the grill, and maybe count on one hand any spots that could be touched up right now.

but with this said... i do no off roading.... my truck only sees horrible, horrible roads and highways that have been under construction for the past few years (and will be for the next 6 years or so).

What am I, chopped liver? :)

If your doing the headlight mod black...your truck looks real good with the black theme. I would paint it black.

HAHA, sorry, forgot about yours. It's looks really good, too. I was thinking about painting it black and putting the Taurus emblem at the very top of the grille, kinda like the Bently grille's for the 300C.

I had mine painted gunmetal for a long time. It DID chip easily, but it repainted easily enough too. Eventually I stripped the paint off and wondered why I ever painted it in the first place. It looks best in straight aluminum.

Down here, aluminum will last alot longer. Although any metal will rust. But I live about 30min from the beach, so we have a lot more salt in the air.

I just ordered the grille. Cost me $140.70 from Summit Racing with 2-day Air shipping. Oh, if anyone else orders thiers from Summit, it's the 119.00 grille, can't remember the part number, reason being there are 2 and one is for Edge/4wds and the other is for XLTs

why didn't you buy it from Wayne?

HighRoller can powdercoat it for you if you send it to him

Cause Wayne's (WholesaleMN) site is down and I had to spend the money today or wouldn't have enough money.

Plus I've order hundreds of dollars worth of stuff from Summit and it only takes me about 5min to do it.
