i just purchased a pair of doors for a truck im building and they have stickers real heavy ones that were put on by the county in like 1987 when the truck was new . they are reflective and on one of the doors somepne sprayed black paint from a spray bomb on the sticker.. how would i pull off the sticker without messing up the paint underneath.. in trying to get through the winter with salt on the roads without messing up believe it or not rust free used doors

 

Assuming the door was clearcoated, and also assuming the clearcoat remained intact over the years, there are types of adhesive remover you can pruchase that do not have an effect on the clearcoat. Goodluck.

 

heat... use a heat gun and heat up the sticker and itll melt the adhesive and the sticker will come right off... this is assuming that the paint is fine still

 

suggestions might be nice... i asked this about my edge decals and only was told try during the summer
