Diamond Plate on Black Truck?

I had diamond plate bed rail caps on my old white 98 ranger & really liked the look/protection. I'm thinking about getting them on my Black 05 Ranger, but I'm not sure how the aluminum diamond plate will look on a black truck. A friend siad he's seen this before & it looked cheap, but I can't picture it in my head. I thought about doing the black diamond plate, but can't find anyone making them for the rangers. Anyone have any pics of this? Aluminum Diamond plate on a black truck? Also, I'm going to find some flush mount tiedowns, to go under my new trifecta folding cover. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Personally I think diamond plate looks BEST on a darker truck most specifically black.

Just look at a black truck w/a aluminum diamondplated toolbox, I had one on my black truck for a while and it sets the entire truck off man, looked awesome, that toolbox is actually the reason I went with chrome rims. Although that toolbox is gone I will be getting another very soon, definitly do it man, it will be unique and it will look awesome!! Blades
