Bed Lights - Steppie Bed

Anyone do Bed Lights on their Stepside Bed ?
I am looking at different LED setups and have come up with an idea.
To keep the light out of the way it appears to me that the lights will be mounted in the little pockets along the side of the bed.
With a Tool Box you will only need three on each side so the light output needs to be enough to cover the open area.

Three LED Suppliers have been asked for input and as soon as I get their opinion I will post what I am up to.

Any ideas, pls post them and pics.

Thks

I think we could do it just like this guy with but smaller ones. That's what I was planning anyway.

Problem is the pockets on the sides of the bed are approx 5.5" lg x 2" high.

4" strip have 6 LEDS ea but not easy to find 4" strips, might work.

18 LEDS each side.

I'm loving the Oznium stuff I bought... They have some shorter lengths and were pretty cheap.

If we could get 4" strips, pre-wired, we could mount them using s piece of aluminum.

Mount the aluminum using small flathead machine screws and stick the LED Strip to the aluminum.

Still thinking !

I was looking at these too… just need to figure out the mounting, maybe a piece of aluminum screwed to the bed and then stick them on.

One of these would light up the entire bed of your truck....
I picked up one to test out the output so I can replace the lights in my boat, Holy crap is it bright....

I wouldn't be drilling anything into my bed, but I wouldn't mind some epoxy and magnets to the lights... Or some velcro strips would work...
If the rain ever stops I'll run out to the truck and light it up for a picture...

Ordered the lights I will be using.
Not sure if the light output is enough but I will test them and see, 30 day return policy.
Got six of them, they are self contained, LED, Waterproof, two s/s screw mounting, Utility LIght and appear to put out a lot of light so they should work.
