The silver is almost a little too loud for my tastes.. I was thinking of painting it a gunmetal grey to make it a little more subdued. Whats your opinion on this and what kind of paint would be best? I know the aluminum has some type of coating on it to prevent corrosion.

Ok, I'm in the middle of doing it. I think its gonna look good!

Even better idea I thought up with all by myself (definitely Q didn't IM this to me) would be to do the headlight mod w/ gunmetal. That would be UBER PIMP. *gears grinding*

i vote that you do the grilles the same as the rims... so if you go gunmetal, powedercoat your rims, too...

Actually that would look really good, but powdercoating definitely isn't in the budget right now. I was out of work for 10 days because of Charley and business has been way down in the wake, so I'm on a shoestring budget right now. Spray-paint, however, is cheap.

That would be even "louder" than the silver! Probably would look nice, but I definitely have been going for an understated look with my truck.. silver wheels instead of chrome, etc.

I think gun metal will tone it down a bit, but it's still just a fairly "loud" grill to begin with. It could just be the picture above though, as it looks like a fairly solid piece of metal (more metal than airholes).

I know... do clear corners, so you have more shiney and white up front... (before you say it I know you don't want clears, but had to be that guy...)
