fixing the fog lights

Well when I bought my truck I had noticed my fog lights were this amber color and I had just assumed they came that way. Come to find out it was some sort of rust that built up within the lights. So after changing my oil I decided to remove the lights and try to clean them up. Make a long story short... it wasn't easy to remove the lights for several reasons, but I got the job done. Here's a couple of pics with the lights out... I apologize for the crappy cell phone pics

After I removed the lights and cleaned the lenses pretty well I got to thinking, why not just JB weld the lenses in place as if the lights were really there. One, I never use my fogs, two the passenger side doesnt even work and three why get it all back together if it'll just rust over again? Here's a couple of pics with just the lenses in...

So instead of spending the money for new fogs that I never even use, I figure this would be a good alternative... or possibly fill the gap where the fogs should be with something else I haven't quite decided with what yet. Let me know what you guys think because as of now I'm leaning towards just JB welding the lenses into place...

oh and here's a before picture but not all that recent
