Ford Superduty 3rd brake light (buggman modded) PICS!
Figured I'd post up my new 3rd brake light. I read on the forum that a ford superduty 3rd brake light would work on our trucks. It looks a little different and brings a newer updated look to the back end especially if you have the cargo or newer rear tail lamps.
I've had the superflux 3rd brake light by buggman for a couple years now and it's been great! There isn't a bulb on the truck that isn't an LED, so when I picked up the new light from ebay I had requested that Terry see if he could work his magic on it. He did, and it turned out awesome! Got LOTS of pics so hopefully you can see the difference between the two.
If you've ever had Terry do his magic on a 3rd brake light they are BRIGHT... this one is even brighter than the one I had from him before.
I LOVE IT!
Cleans up the back end a lot... when you compare the two the original looks so dated...lol
Enjoy the pics!
Guess will start with the OLD:

Only thing I did was sleeve the wires. Ended up putting the connector on backwards and then wondered why it wasn't plugging in..lol doy! Quick fix though! You see the fixed picture...lol
Then just comparing the two.
My gasket was kinda worn on the original so I used some RTV clear silicone... which you can see in one of the pictures. It took me a damn hour removing... wow what a PITA... it never leaked though after I did that!

Last comparison. And then the picture of the new light output.
It's by far much brighter for the cargo, which is awesome because I use that feature. The brake with out a doubt is way brighter, you can see it illuminated on the back black tonneau cover and the wall.
Now I don't feel the need to get a new truck...little things that make it count! hahaha
