Found: Sonic Blue topper!

Going to Nashville this saturday or next saturday depending on scheduling. I found a Sonic Blue Topper for my truck down there. It seems far but I'm picking up some OEM chrome running boards from a member here in Cincinnati along the way so it's not too bad. The truck will look completely different when I get back home!

Trust me, I don't want the running boards! I'm tired of hearing everyone b1tch about climbing in and out of my truck. My g/f used the truck one time and she fell out and completely f*d herself up.*She never wants to drive it again*YaY* I thought it was funny, she didn't. lol

I can't wait to get rid of those gawdy four inch tall bedside caps! Man I hate those things.

You will really like the camper shell, I don't think I will ever have another truck without one. I am in the same boat as you I had to put steps on my truck so the gf (she is 5'2") could get in.

awesome Travis... should look great.

lol, did you just find this by chance... or have you been searching for one for a while... i could have sworn in the other thread about toppers that it seemed like you weren't all too interested in one and claimed it probably wouldn't happen because you have sonic blue... lucky bastard, lol. damn you guys and your straight sided beds, lol.

I was actually gonna put on that bumper today! I removed a wheel to see if my other set of calipers would work and when I put the wheel back on, decided it was way to cold to be working on my truck. There was a bitter wind going today.

When I posted in that thread it re-sparked my interest. I typed in 'Sonic Blue Topper' into my google bar just to see what came up. Like a sign, there was one posted on craigslist that day and it was like the second result found. I emailed the dude and claimed it right then and there.

Can't beat the price either! http://nashville.craigslist.org/pts/268747813.html

The Day after I Settled for a Topper that was a Few Shades off of Bright Island Blue for my 01 Ranger, I opened up the paper and saw an ad "Ranger Topper for sale, Bright island Blue, Fiberlass...." I just about cried! I was in college and couldn't afford any more money out the window. Good Find!

I can't wait to get the cap! Like I said, the running boards are more to keep ppl from b1tchin. If they don't grow on me(or when I ditch the chrome bumpers) I'll sell em.

I left em on cuz there's a sticky felt crap strip under them and I didn't feel like getting all the goo off and there's scratches at the seam, it'd be an eyesore if left exposed. I was waiting to get something to cover it up. Ppl said it made the truck look bigger too. lol

I dunno, I'll get a better idea once I see it on there. I wish I was better at photoshop. I wanna see how the truck will look with the cap and chrome step bars, lol.
