How hard is color matching the side view mirror?

How hard is color matching the side view mirror?
Has anyone done this? is it hard and like what process did you take?

I havn't done it....but......sand sand sand, prep prep prep, spray spray spray. I've thought about getting those chrome mirror caps, and sanding and painting those body color, like on the SPORTs, but on the 05 and older style mirror.
