I have a red '02 edge. I'm getting kind of bored with the solid red(or bright red) and am wanting a change. I'm going to to be getting my grill painted black and clearcoated. The faded gray really sucks. Outside of that, the only changes exterior wise that have been made is I removed the edge decals and pinstripe and the step bars. My windows are tinted somewhat dark. I have the black rockcrawlers w/32x11.50's, so I was wondering what I could do different to my truck add some color or contrast(make it not so plain), but still go along with the wheels. I was thinking of maybe some kind of stripe or painting the raised part of my hood.....or some graphics, don't know really what scheme or what color matter of fact. I am open to any suggestions that you guy's might have. Thanx in advance!

 

What design, I have no clue. But I always thought that White on Red looked nice-n-clean.

 

2 black race stripes

 

i got some custom pinstriping 6 different lines on the side varying in sizes and widths curving around wheel wells and stuff not just straight lines also 2 lines following the pattern on the hood. On the tailgait i removed the ford and ranger symbols and had ranger painted across in cursive it takes up most of the tailgate.

those look pretty kewl on the red but i would like it better with the flames filled in

 

i agree with the two black race stripes solid or maybe even a textured design would be cool. its what i plan on doin with my red 04 edge...if u do it post pics!!!

 

Thanks for the help. I was leaning towards the race stripes, but was wanting some suggestions, you know broaden my horizons. I was thinking of black or maybe some dark metallic gray, but w/the wheels, window tint, and grill, I might better stick with black. Thanks!

 

White on red is sweet. Get two white race stripes down the middle with a thin pinstripe in white on each side of them. I think that'd look great.
