Grill question on a 99 Ranger

What can i add to the inside of my grill to make it look better? I don't want to go get another grill. I have seen someone put like gutter guards in? Just give me ideas on something that I can go buy at the local hardware store that would look good. Can't decide if it should be chrome of something black in there. And, how would you put something in and keep it there? Here is a pic to help yall out.

you could always insert mesh. or remove the grille and fab a metal plate and paint it black, that's my personal favorite.

What do you want me to say? I'm sorry, not hardly, I was just posting up the site for him to look at, most of the inserts are universal.

Or...i have found a pretty good deal on Ebay but may require some cutting

i as well cannot decide what to do with mine. i've got a 994x4 with the two vertical chrome bars. i notice the 2wd is a bit different. has the one solid horizontal bar and small verticals. So if i get the eBay grille that i posted above, will i have to cut the chrome vertical bars?
FX4 how did your lifted buddy do his?

just cut up the plastic that's 'inside' of the chrome, and then it's pretty much done. took some time with the dremel, but it turned out great!

and yes....1st truck is a 4x4 shell, 2nd truck is a 2wd shell.

they look... exactly the same
I've been saying for a while that, "I'm done with visual mods" but i think a billet grill may be an exception.

They are close to the same but not exactly. The 2WD have the one bar going across the center horizontal and the 4WD's have two vertical bars more toward the sides.

.....and i am always scared to take my grille off...for some reason the bottom clips are a B**** to come off and i don't want to snap the thing right off. I put my stuff on by just bending the top down. I will have to see a way to get these damn things off so i can re-do it correctly

I think all the grills are ugly except the full billet grill, it really changes the look of the truck big time, I put the stock one back on my truck and i think it looks so ugly now as to being used to the full billet grill for 3 years..

Just pull theyll come off, and put the clips back on and when u go to put the grill back on push the bottom on first until they click.

the clips were so rusted on mine....like the metal prongs that hold the plastic in and is why it was giving me a hard time. i just tugged on it once really hard and it came right off. much easier than i thought. didnt break also.
