grille n headlights

Icon5 grille n headlights

i have a 2000 model ranger 2wd

what year model rangers would i be able to switch out the grill header panel and head lights ... but i want to be able to keep my hood so i dont have to pay for so much paint and labor.. threw a paint shop

possible a 01-03 model?

I think if you go 01-03 you have to get a new hood I am not 100 percent sure but really close to it

You don't. All you need is the grille, header panel and lights.

Really I thought the hood was a little bit different but if indeed I am wrong then I learned something new today and he just saved a lot of cash. lol thanks man for correcting me

Nope sure don't. MudSlanger just did this swap like yesterday, I had pics but I delated them lol. He kept his stock hood and bumper.

IF you choose to do a "EDGE" grille(same grille as on 4x4 XLT models as well), this is what your stock hood will look with the honey comb grille, known as an 01-03 edge grille....notice the gap vs. my truck and the "powerdome" hood.....

01-03 are easily swapable to your truck w/ very little parts. 04+ on the other hand.....you need a hood as well.

the gap is not really that bad with the older hood and egde grill just like the picture above i just did the swap and in my opinion it dosent look bad

Do you have some pictures of yours too? cuz you also have the lights and gaurd mounted so that sorta blocks it from view too ya know

i think if you used a 2wd xlt (the one with the big bars) the space wouldn't be noticeable at all..but it still doesn't look bad with the edge grill
