Did you have to do some major cutting? Looks good. I'd love to do this to mine

From: Goodsoil Sask,
i got the bullet from ebay it was 70$ for the grill and the bumper grill i didnt use the bumper grill because im building a bumper, now for putting in the bullet the chrome on the grill is just a cover its held on with clips around the edge it pops right off and its painted to match your truck under neth the ford sign is built into the painted grill so u dont need to try to fight with it,once the chrome cover is off pop out the plastic corner mesh looking thing the i edit a pic where to cut, i used a sawzall to cut the grill then with the bullet theres 4 tabs test fit it and the mark and drill holes and screw it in

I wanted something to protect the paint and figured it would be less noticeable. If I had it to do over I never would have bought one and I should have taken it off.

Makes you wonder why they don't fit all models..... I had a go round with someone about this, he said "it will fit your truck" $50.00 lost and never heard from him again ....Andrewsays... I have an 07 and bought that chrome grill and liked it till it cracked. I went looking for one like KLC and it seems that there are quite a bit of ways you can go with different year trucks. I had that textured black plastic front grill and upper/lower bumper fascia junk. I ordered the 08 set up and it all went it fine.

Okay, maybe I'm asking an obvious question here, but if I was to buy a billet piece to go into my stock grille, will I be able to completely remove the chrome? Like not just the center piece, but the trim around the edges as well? and there won't be any holes or anything like that from the chrome?
The billet would probably look okay with the chrome edge, but I think the black would look better.
As for the billet itself... do I bother getting both the grille part and the lower bumper part too? what happens with my tow hooks if I have to install the lower part?
Also is the stuff through autoanything.com or myhotranger.com any better than the (little bit) cheaper stuff on ebay?

I don't remember that, but it did serve the purpose I had intended. I never took it off because they tend to rub the paint where they curve from under the hood.

Gotcha. Thanks. Yea I'll DEFINITELY take off the chrome lol. Although I have a chrome bug deflector on the hood... (reget buying that, but thought it would save my paint)

Ok. To replace the front grille of the XLT rangers which have the smaller ugly grille's you gotta change the panel the grill mounts to right? do any grilles come with that piece that just needs paint added? and in particular the STX grille (black one on KLC's blue sexy ranger :P )

My chrome one is just one piece, the little snorkel holes on the sides can pop out but the rest is one thin formed chrome plated plastic.
