Headlight Film
Headlight Film
I want to clean the yellow film off of the headlights of my car. I'm not sure what i should use. I know there are things you can buy in the store, but im wondering if there is anything in particular i should use that will do a good job. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
suprisingly that flitz stuff you see on TV did a better job then anything else i tryed on my truck, and i used about 5 different kinds.

I've used a product called NOVUS before. I don't think I ever tried it on headlights, but it works miracles on our fire truck's warning lights. It can turn a faded sctratched up piece of junk red lens into something that looks new again.

Today we (phil, jenn and i) washed phil and jenns cars. Afterwards phil used this cleaner called "mothers cleaner wax" which also cleans oxidation. Her headlights look ten times better. Before they were all yellow and filmy, but now they are nice and clear.
I use Meguiar's "Scratch-X" -- it's an ultrafine compound for removing swirls in clear coat, but it also polishes plastic really nicely. You can get it just about anywhere. It comes in a black squeeze tube about 6" long. Very nice stuff for a variety of uses.

Yeah I have the meguiars scratch x that I used on my truck after a detail shop left swirl marks every where. I also have the quick detail stuff too. I am dreading the clay barring that I am going to have to do when it warms up lol
