I just removed my rear mudflaps..
boy, that was easy.. initially I was concerned that I didn't want to lose the mounting hardware, but after I took off the 13mm nut that holds the bottom on, and the 13mm bolt that holds the top on, and saw how the rod was holding the inner-fender guard in place, the simple solution was to drop the 13mm bolt through the guard and the fender and put the 13mm nut on it!
No pictures now, truck is in the garage and dirty, and its raining outside.

I've often been passed by trucks without mudflaps on gravel roads and on snow-covered asphalt roads with gravel spread on them by the county for traction. They spew gravel all over the front and the windshield of whoever they pass. Nothing pisses me off more, especially because they are invariably speeding. Many states mandate mudflaps on the rear if your bumper is a certain number of inches or more off the ground and its a traffic offense not to have them. Lack of mudflaps WILL result in more stones and gravel hitting the body panels behind the wheels. Mudflaps serve definite functions and should not be taken off merely for "looks".

Seems like it was 2 bolts either way, and the mounting bar bolts looked easier to get to. *shrug*
