hella 500 lights.. do i need a new ...

im getting 2 hella 500 lights and i was wondering if i need a new battery like a deep cycke (spelling) or if i need a higher output alternator to run them?

cycle....

i really dont think you would need to get another battery... im not sure of the wattage but my brother has 2 kc daylighter 150 watt lights and hes jsut fine with the stock battery...

i had 6 on my truck at one time....battery was fine...

Just look at Zach's truck, how many lights does he have, lol.

The thing is, you are not going to be running these lights all the time, so there is no need for a optima battery or any other performance battery.

the hellas are only 55 watts... I upgraded mine to 100watts

Batteries are for when the engine is not running. Alternators are for when the engine is running. If your lights will exceed the alternator's capacity, then you need to upgrade the alternator, not the battery. Just adding two 55 or 100 watt lights will not exceed anything. You don't need to upgrade either.
