I am really interested in the Hella Black Magic lights but after doing some researching the lights look freaking huge. I think the light measures over 8". Not sure if anyone has Hellas on there truck. I'm thinking these on my Waag bar and on the ranger would look a little odd. Any thoughts would be appreciated...

 

the hella black magic lights are smaller than the ralleye 4000's which are 9" i believe your guesstimate of 8" for the black magics is correct. but, from what i've heard, hella does not make the black magic anymore. here is a good site to check out for hella lights: www.rallylights.com

 

yea they are like 8.25" indiameter......they don't look huge...infact I find the 6" KCs on our trucks is too small anyway. I was going to run KC Rally 800s on my Waag bar back in the day, and those are 8" KCs....but couldn't afford themin high school. GET EM!!

 

4000's are metal and about twice the depth. The blak magis are based onthe rallye 1000 from back in the day.

 

I don't know if the mounting system for the black magics or rallye 4000s is the same as the 500s, but the 500s are a PAIN IN THE *** to mount, aim, and keep aimed!

I will never buy these again!

Definitely look into Lightforce and IPF, they are more $$ but they are the best!

 

well, you are not comparing apples to apples. Pick a $200 Lightforce Light and compare it to a $200 Hella Light like a 4000 or 4000 compact.
