Few Exterior Mod Questions?

Sup? Just a few questions.

Anyone recommend a certain brand of Window visors? I know weathertech sells a set for around 60. Anyone use these?

What do you think of this for a badge?

^^ Talked with the guy at billetbadges.com and told me that I could get a set for around 80 shipped .......... but that was last year.

How much chrome is too much chrome? Say I did chrome mirror caps, door hands and tail gate handle? Would it look odd?

Mudflaps for the fron tires.

Thanks,
Will

Those emblems straight from Ford are about $20 each. A member here by the name of 04blackedge makes the little edge decals.

Where are you located? I run vent visors and want a set of rear door visors, but can only buy in either front door sets or front and rear door sets. I love them...great in the winter when the cabin is muggy and you need a little breeze in the cab. Cuts down on sun glare too when the sun is in it's certain spot.

My next ranger or even my next look on my current ranger will be chrome. chrome mirror caps, the bigger chrome emblems, tailgate and door handles, side steps, grille or bumper, wheels......it looks really good. Check out DisturbedESV's truck. Her's is a good, well flowing mix of black and chrome. Has all the chrome add-ons you mentioned. The overall look in terms of 'looking in place', is rather very nice looking to me. Pick a direction for the truck, and stick with it. Presently, i'm on the 'dark and menacing' look, something most folks do for black or dark trucks. Lighter colored trucks tend to rock the chrome. But on a black truck, the chrome pops out even more I think.

Everything you mentioned in chrome would be ok. I have a black ranger and right now my bumpers, step bars and wheels are chrome. I have the 06 Ranger badges just waiting to get installed, and will soon have chrome tailgate and door handles. I would have chrome mirror caps if I had 06+ mirrors.

Yeah, Im liking the chrome add ons and all. Im in North carolina, I do believe weathertech sells just the rears, but i am unsure of how you're gonna intall them unless you stick it on or take the window out and pur them in "Track" and then place the window back on. Hmmmm may be doing the decal thing then! Thanks!

The rear ones are not the "in-channel" kind. They just stick on the rubber(2-doors) or paint (4-doors).

^^yup. lol.

And on the front doors, in-channel is the only way to go in my opinion.

Yeah In channel (I think I said track earlier lol) is the best I think, even though my dad had a 97 F150 4x4x off road that had stick ons, they lasted about 7 - 8 years before flying off in traffic and now he has a 05 f150 lariat with the in channels and the in channels he has now have problems, the pass side won let the window roll up fully and the piece infront the mirror broke on the driver side
