HID Projector Headlight Conversion

So I'm thinking of switching to HID, but I don't want to completely blind every other driver by using the factory headlight designed for halogen.

What is my cheapest option? Something off amazon? and what have other people done here?

I have a 2000 ranger xlt if anyone has a link to a trusted product.

Projector retrofits are getting more common. Depending on your skill level you could do it yourself, but there are members here and on other forums who will do it for you

Don't buy eBay projectors

Is there an example how to do a retrofit? I was hoping for a direct bolt up. But if its not complicated, I'm willing to attempt some custom work.

I was searching the Web for Ranger Projector Info, maybe some measurements and pictures !

I got this thread as one of many out there to read and it was dated Apr/2018... that threw me !

I went back to the web search just to double check and sure enough the date on the search is Apr/18 but the last posting is Mar/2012... as a lot of the other Thread are too !

Anyway... I was hoping for a few things out of this and other threads but all lack measurements !

Am I asking for too much, I have worked in an industry where measurements are boss, if it say +/- .001 or even a tenth, then that is what it is, so reading and trying to get an idea of doing the retrofit goes without resolve.

has anyone done a 2003 era, Ranger Retrofit, complete with Switchback-Halo, and have used exact measurements ?

I know its me but I was hoping for something a little more exact.

I am looking for a friend in the Temecula area with an oven in their garage so I can heat up the housings, the wife isn't to up on the idea of using the kitchen Range even though I told here the smell will go away... NOT... NOT... NOT !

As soon as I can locate the heating source I will get started.

If anyone has some measurements let me know.
thx/Ltr
