Hitch Install guide?
Hitch Install guide?
Hey guys, I just got my hitch and I was wondering if someone could provide a step by step (like a how to) on how to install this thing. The instructions are extremely vague and im not really mechanically inclined.
Any help would be appreciated.

Well I have all the hardware, however i think we are going to have to drill. I dunno it just wasn't bolting up with complete ease. There were some spaceers that were not completely flush to the frame. Its hard to explain over the boards, id be able to tell more of what happend in person.
I dont think well have time before the meet. But thanks for the offer man. I just dont want to hold the whole thing up if something goes wrong. Plus ill be antsy to go offroading. Havent been in like 3 months.
Heres what it came with, basically, 4 carriage bolts 1/2" x 2", 2 1-1/4 x 2 x 3/8 spacers, 2 1-1/4 x 2 x 3/16 spacers. some locking washers and flat wahsers and some nuts.

Its actually both sides. It seems like there is some little like metal clip that holds in the current bolt. This metal clip blocks me from having the spacer completely flush with the frame.
Is it normal for the frame to go a tad bit smaller as you go away from the bumper? Like it gives more room for the spare tire. Im wondering if thats going to be a problem to drill into.
