How do I get the headlights off? (Pics with clears)

How can I get the damn headlights off? Haha, I spent awhile looking at them and can't see how they come off.

I just put my clear corners on, and the guy gave me "Diamond" headlights for free, and I cannot figure out how to take the old ones off, any help would be more than great.

The clear corners look great, but will look better with the headlights. Please help?

I also had the 2/3 drop removed, so I can get a bigger drop.

I think the 98-99s are different. I can't remember, though.

They're different. I think, anyway, I don't see any black tabs. Only the ones on the light itself. Actually, it's part of the adjusting thing. But those won't come off? (I don't think.)

Kind of off topic, but can anyone get on eBay? I was searching through tail lights. And it just went to the "Cannot find server" page.

Edit: Nevermind, the search is just acting up.

Heres a dumb question, but have you checked your owners manual? It should describe how to change your headlight bulb, and I assume that would involve removing the headlight lense.

I checked it once, but I didn't find anything on it. I'll check it again once it stops raining.

Hmm, maybe theres more room in the 98-00, but its a tight fit to get the bulbs out of an 01+ without taking out the headlight.

He wants to change the whole housing, not just the bulbs.

You dont need to take out the headlight to change the bulb.

You have to remove this clip. There are 2 of them, one on each end. Use a small flat head on the side of the clip (where the metal piece goes into the plastic grove) you should see what im talking about. (remember to take the bulb wiring out first)

There is more room to change the bulb, the headlight doesn't need to be removed.

I wish I could just use a crowbar, it'd get them out.. fast. Or at least in a few nice sized chunks.

I saw those clips.. but I have three? Two like that, and another weird one..

I wonder why Ford made it so easy to remove the corner lights, and so hard to remove the headlight housing.. Eh, I guess I'll try and get them out tomorrow or something. It's too dark to see here, and it's raining pretty bad. I wish I knew of someone around here that'd do it for me, and adjust the headlights too. But they won't. "If you don't buy it here, we can't work on it."

With the new headlights they gave you, did they give you new clips?
If so just rip the **** outta the old one and use the new ones..
That would be a lot easier.
then you could use the crow-bar...lol

Not useless, I like hearing that. Haha, anyone want a bug deflector? It had one the day I got it, and those things annoy me so much. I took it off at the car lot.

It has new clips, but they're completly different. They're all in the same place, so I believe it will fit.

Looks even better in person, they're clear enough it looks like there's no glass over any of it. Hopefully they'll stay that way, and not get that "fog" tint to them. I sprayed them in the front with clear coat, and around the back with that sealer stuff.

Yeah, the bug deflector off my 02 I sold on G-E for like $10, the one off my 03 I gave to TremorJon for free. I HATE bug deflectors. I would consider getting a clear one and painting it red from the inside, but the smoked ones look so tacky to me.
