My blue ford oval emblems on the grill and tailgate are peeling and gross and the 3 "ranger" badges on the fenders and tailgate faded so all the black lettering is gone and they are solid chrome.

I don't even want them but its way too much work to remove them and fill the alignment holes.

I painted my grill emblem flat black as sort of a test but can't say I really like it. I'm curious what have you guys done to make old badges look better. I'm certainly not paying what ford wants for new ones especially since I hate them anyway lol. I just want to make them look clean but not flashy.

 

Go on eBay,several choices there.

 

well i learned the tailgate badge apparently has 2 holes that align it on the tailgate...why??? i was gonna take mine off but saw it had 2 holes for plastic studs so i shoved it back on...

 

yup, the grill and front fender badges are the same way. no way to remove them without doing body work to fill the holes

 

If you like the style of the older ranger badges, you can pick up used ones on ebay all day long cheap. And they are interchangable too.

 

im gonna guess the hole spacing for the blue oval is different than the 2 for the ranger emblem right?

 

my ovals have 3 pins each and the ranger emblems each have 2 so no interchangeably there.

 

I wonder if the RANGER emblem will fit where the blue oval is on the tailgate... hmm
