I picked up a chrome grille and surround from a xlt i think. it wont match up to my powerdome like i think it should.... I like the style of the grille, it will be painted to match the truck, but i want it to fit the hood!! any input would be greatly appreciated...


if you dont already know, its a 2001 edge.

 

the hood hits it or its just close? i didnt think it looked that bad with the xlt style.

notch the hood and put an 07 grill on it.

 

hmm... i kinda like the 07 idea. the xlt surround just doesnt match up to the hood the way i would like it to.

just called my guy at ford and it looks like its gonna cost me around 800 bucks for that front end... that is just the valance and the grille!!! yay!

 

Yeah they wanted like $240 unpainted at Ford. I'm sure someone on here might be able to hook you up for dealer cost, theres a couple guys that work for Ford on here that I've gotten parts from before.

 

doubt anyone can get em much cheaper than what i was quoted.

Just a dealership that sells parts for dirt cheap, I got one of my bumper brackets from them a couple months ago. The 746 is MSRP and the 492 is the cost you can get it at. They have everything, body parts and mechanical parts. Its a cool site. I couldn't find the STX grille on there though, you could look it up if you had a part number.

Fiber tech the surround and sand to match the hood?

 

im starting to get tired of doing body work... i have enough left to do to make me not want to work on the grill

 

hey i hear ya there.. nothing i hate more then sanding during body work...

thats why the past few jobs i have taken to the body shop LOL...
