I don't think this is a repost, but if it is, 
It's a pretty comprehensive list of all the paint and trim color options for the ranger (and other cars too) from 1997 to Present.

Yeah they do. And I know that the paint changed in 01.

Vermillion Red is our paint... btw FTW! lol
torch red is one shade lighter than us 05 and later... I believe they changed the paint in 06.. not sure exactly... but if you were to park your 04-05 ranger next to a newer one the paint would look a shade lighter... not all that noticeable if you ask me... but still gotta love that bright "arrest me" red... I know the cops do lol

that link sorta sucks....except it does give an idea as to what the color looks like kinda. wtf! there were no color options in the older years? really? is this early Ford where black was the only option?? lol.

billy's 98 has a 02 powerdome on it...both F4 codes...both match perfectly.

My 98 has a powerdome off an 03 and its a different shade. Hmmmm IDK then.
