LIGHTING Questions
LIGHTING Questions
Well as some know i run 6000k HIDS and have now lost my high beams in doing so.
What i want to do is this:
I want to put to offroad lights in my grille (2003 honeycomb grille).
And i want to wire them into my high beams.
Well I am wondering what is recommended as a good high beam offroad light i can wire up.
I have also tried to find the how-to on wiring off-road lights and cant find it.
hoping someone can give me a link to a how-to on that.
Well any help is appreciated.

But i will keep that in mind.. Do you know what else fits behind the grille?
Not off the top of my head. Easiest thing would go measure the room you have there and just look for lights that will fit. Remember though that if you do get in a front end collision, the lights can be pushed into your radiator. Just something to keep in mind.
The ProComp 55w would fit nicely behind the grille and youshouldn't have to worry about melting the grille with them. You can always get some autozone/kragen/checkers/wal-mart style ones that are 55w, they should have plenty of power for what you need without melting the grille.

I just had to dremel the housing a bit to get the connectors through.

Yea they are. I just shoved the grommet that was on the HID bulb through there, it is not going anywhere, could always silicone it up if I was unsure too.
For the price I would say go with those, especially with the internal ballast and stainless steel housing. I would be curious to see how they compare to mine. Only thing I do not like is they come with 8k and no covers from what I see.

Then i would have
6000k heads.
3000k fogs.
4300k high beams haha.
Mine came out $80, but I got hooked up on the housings. I have heard good reviews on the Kragen brand ones as well, but they are huge. Those are nice and compact, just get some light tabs and then you would just need a relay, switch and wiring, unless you were going to wire these as your Hi-beams.
