While your at it, paint that reflector that is in front of the headlamp bulb, it looks pretty cool.

I agree with the buying them off ebay. I'm all for doing a mod yourself but when I tried to do my stockers when I'd pull the masking tape off the chrome reflective material would come off with the tape. So I said screw it and bought the ebay ones.

If it is your father's truck maybe you should respect what he has given/loaned you and ask permission before you do anything to it.

Such a terrible mod. Not only do you ahve to deal with possibly not getting em apart, and heating them too much ruining them, and the chrome coming off with the tape, but then there's also the prospect of not sealing them up good enough and water seeping in over time. I did the mod to the corners and went thru 2 sets of em before I did it right without destroying them. And they still didnt look that great because you could see the line of clear silicone from the outside and no matter how neatly I applied it it just didn't look nice from up close. And I had a minor seeping issue with one of them. I would have spent less money had I just bought the f***ing black ones off ebay from the start.
And all for a mod thats played out and doesnt even look that cool on Rangers lol thats why I went back to stock

i did mine, had no issues, i heated them a little too long, and a little too hot, so they got a little crystalized (lenses) but it looked awesome! i used black silicone, so you couldn't see it...
