I would hope, the damage those could cause if they came loose could cause a lot of damage to your truck or really jack someone up if you were say on the highway

just hope if you get stuck it isn't in a way where you can't get to your shovel and I agree with everyone else. Make sure your clamps don't come loose.

yeah i'd be affraid that I'd come back to my truck one night and the ax was gone! But it looks good. The shovel will prolly come in handy.

i thought about putting them in the bed but i dont want to give up the space or have them be in the way. i use my bed all the time and dont plan on needing the ax andf shovel quite as often (knock on wood)

I have the same mounts, trying to find a shovel i like for it, going to mount it on my roof rack

I like your idea, but last time i went offroading, that area got very covered in mud, and it would get all over your tools

I live in a pretty rural area so im not too worried about them being stolen.

I like the idea. It's a good use of space that otherwise wouldn't be used. Hope the location works out for ya.

i'm gonna laugh when the first time you get stuck... the tire is flexed up into the side with the shovel and you cant get it

but i like the idea. nice way to save space..

do you have any pictures of just the mount? where did you get them? i need to find a way to mount my shovel and axe, the shovesl takes up a ton of room in the box

I like this location better. Very rarely do you see a truck stuck up to the roof.
