I got the front grill emblem off an 02 Taurus on eBay (thanks for not out bidding me Wowak!), and i was just wondering how everyone else mounted thiers? I first used Plastic Weld Epoxy, which worked for a week or so... but then accidentally pulled the entire thing right off yesterday when i was trying to wipe away a dead bug!! any suggestions on how to make sure itll never come off again????

3M foam tape will probably hold it if there is enough surface for it to stick to. Its pretty strong stuff. I would use the white foam kind, not the gel like stuff. They have it at any office supply store. Advance or Auto Zone might also have some kind of emblem adhesive, but I'm not sure.

If you are careful, JB weld might work. Make sure you mix it properly and everything.

haha i was actually thinking about doing that as well!!! thats actually how it came off.. i had the center epoxied real well, but the tips had barely anything on them sinse there wasnt much for them to grab a hold to. anyway, i went to wipe a bug off, held onto the tip, and the entire thing came right off in my hand! ill figure something out with everyone's tips!! thanks!!

Did you guys leave the stock emblem in the grille or take it out to put the taurus emblem on?

take it out.. the tuarus gril emblem thing comes with the ford logo already in it.. the emblem itself is actually a little smaller in size than the reg. emblem that came off my grill.. but you dont really notice at all, unless you knew about it before hand!!

Yeah I held it up to the new grille and could see the edge of the mounting surface for the old emblem.

I used zip-ties on the ends, and left the center with nothing. Didnt use any glues, epoxys, anything. just snug the 'tabs' on the grill piece into the honeycomb. it will be a perfect, and centered fit.

Yeah I think that I am going to toss it onto the grey grill with the zip ties. I may eventually do some more tweaking to it if I don't like the results.

I think that it is attached with clips in the grille and also with the center pin on the emblem.
