mud flap holes?

Removed my mud flaps because i hate them, i have a 2wd and they're pointless. Eventually plan on dropping the truck too.

So what did you guys do/use to fill in the holes that stupid ford decided to put into the side of the fender to hold the flaps on?

I was thinking body filler and then painting the area?

The only way that it should be done (IMO) is weld it. Fill the holes in with new metal, prep and paint...

I have the same problem, but mine is a step side bed - fiberglass. I think I'm gonna wait till I have the money to get the whole truck touched up since it has a few noticeable nicks and dents.

I just stuck the plastic pins back in the holes, then it doesn't look like theres something missing.
