Imo they look better off, but they do help protect the paint from stuff thrown up from your tires. That's why I keep mine on.

Alright, I took the front driver's side one off earlier just to see what it would look like. I dont know if I like it or not. I guess I can take them off and run it awhile, see if I like it or not. Its not that hard to take them on and off.

I voted on because of the fact they help protect your paint and keeps you from flinging rocks onto other motorists windshields. They are there for a reason. Another reason I thought they looked good because of the fact you have them on the front and the rear.

There are a lot of vehicles that don't have mud flaps. Not to mention, I've had mine off for probably six months or more and I don't have one rock chip. Everyone's experience and viewpoint is different though.

I voted yes, only because they do help keep stuff off the rockers.

I took the mud flaps off my old 2001, and I thought it looked a lot better, but I would always get a lot of mud on the underside and rock chips along the rockers. The rockers on my 2002, which has always had the OEM flaps, are in much better shape.

its a lot of personal preference.
mine is on, I think it adds to the over all look of the vehicle.

on that note, I took mine off to put fender flares on, but then changed my rims, with the same style, just with the correct bolt pattern so I could get rid of the adapters, which I hated... also they made my wheels stick out almost 2"...
anyways, now my tires/rims sit flush with the top of the fender wall and I thought flares would look stupid then. too bad I already bought the flares, which are now sitting in storage... :(

i say off. i took mine off my 93 and looks much better.. i did have a set of 31" BFG A/T's on it winter 08/09 and didnt get alot of rock chips.. mind you after i put the dent in the side i dont really care about the paint anymore until i get it smoothed out and repainted. i got lots of little scratches and crap on my truck now..

and also if you take your off the pavement down a trail they just get in the way and your gonna be throwing rocks anyways..

I got them off and just got in from washing the truck. Mental note, dont wash the truck when its real cold out. The soap froze to it. lol

I'll try and take a picture tomorrow for a before and after

On, I was disappointed at the small mudflaps my FX4 had, so I got some bigger ones. I hate throwing rocks at my own paint.

I kept mine cause I've seen where people removed that support bar in the rear and if you run over/back over something it can really tweak up the back of the bed... that's just me though...

I like the look of them off but it feels like the truck is missing that black peice now at the bottom if ya know what I mean. Its almost like I need fender flares now.

if yo ulive in an area with snow and salt I vote for on. I dont have them on the front of my truck and there is always a pile of frozen goo under the truck right under the doors.
