Installing billet grille

I just got this grille off of ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=160074370589

I was looking at my factory grille and there are 4 screws that go along the top of the factory one and then 1 screw on each side that attaches the whole front piece together. How would i take the factory grille off to put this new one in place of that? Has anyone bought something like this off of ebay and how did you get it in? Id appreciate it very much. THANKS

im sure you'll get a lot of responses because there's a lot of guys and gals running billet grilles or something similar. I'll take a look at mine and see exactly how i got the factory grille out. I know I took the entire front shell off to do it. You probably didn't need to but I didn't want to screw anything up.

You have to remove the whole grill surround from the truck. The factory grille is attached to that with a bunch of plastic clips. Be careful removing the clips though, they break easily. After you get the factory grill off you screw the new billet piece to the header panel and reinstall the factory surround. The factory surround is held in place with some metal clips that you can pop loose with a flat screwdriver.

lol that blows that was a good deal! Just what Ryan said, be careful with the clips. They are cheap. I took most of the whole house off with a screwdriver..pretty fast install! 20-30 minutes chillin

so not to like highjack the post or anything, but would the intall be the same for an older ranger? i have an 00 and wanna have an open grille, but don't want it to be only in between the slits of my xlt bumper, and it seems the grille and surround are all one peice. So like for the 98-00 rangers do you need to cut out the center area? whats the deal?
