New grille on the way! WOOT!
I just purchased a new 2006-2007 chrome grill efor my '04 XLT. I had debated going with a billet grille, but I decided that I really like all that chrome on the new grille, so I went that direction.
Yea, I was on the bench about it for a while, but the more I see them, the more I like them. I like the styling of the '06+ Rangers except for that huge *** Ford emblem on the tailgate. Also, I think the Ranger emblem on the tailgate is redundant. We know it is a Ranger. LOL
I hope to get the fender emblems next. I'd like the taillights, but they are not a must-have.

I notice the header panel behind it. I haven't noticed it as much on the new Rangers. There are two protrusions at the bottom of the grille where something could attach to the inside. Maybe a rubber flap or something is supposed to go here?
Yea, that big black center in the '04 XLT grill was just too much sticking out there. The best looking Ranger front is the '03 4x4 IMHO, but these new ones look good. I agree about the STX being cool, but I think the bumpers are a different shape on those aren't they?
I am thinking about painting the header panel behind the grill a semi-gloss black so that it won't show. What do you guys think?

Speed Grills would look good in this grille.
