Is the chrome bumper the same on they 02 ranger as it is on the 06-07? Did only the valence change?

The bumper and Valence changed shape and material after the 2005 MY. They are now both plastic. The mounting should be the same however. Fog lights are larger now too though compared to 2002.

01-05 bumpers are the same. 01-03 and 04-05 valences are different. Both uppers and lowers vary on trim level. 06+ are completely different design. What you look at are actually bumper covers. There's an inner steel bumper, and the cover covers that up. 06-07 have square fogs/fogholes, and 08 has round fogs/fogholes.

Only the valence changed between the 01-03 and the 04-05 valences. 01-03 round fogs and rounder valence, 04-05 square fogs and more square valences. Again, trim level makes a differnece regarding paint, textured, fogs, no fogs, etc.

So to finally answer your question.......no. 06+ trucks don't have an ounce of chrome on the front bumper.
