New rear bumper? What do you guys think

Well.. Time for another thread asking for an opinion. :)

I have been throwing around the idea of getting a different rear bumper for my truck.

Here's what it's got...

As you can sort of tell from the picture, this bumper is twisted from end to end, one end is twisted and sort of pointing down, the other corner is twisted pointing upward.

I have a 2nd stock bumper that is NOT twisted, dented, or tweaked, from my dad's F150 of the same body style. So I can also use it, considering that his F150 is no longer road worthy.

So I was considering the Ranch Hand rear bumper..

I like chrome bumpers, and plan to keep chrome on this truck. But I have the opportunity to buy a used Ranch hand for less than half of what they cost new. I am considering taking the guy up on it.

The Ranch hand bumpers have built in hitches, which are supposed rated pretty well, although I was going to see if I could find a way to retain the hitch I have, I don't think that that bumper hitch could possibly be as strong.

Opinions? Get it? Lol

BTW, I'm saving up for the same size KM2's that are on that truck(315/75r16), and my truck sits about an inch and a half taller per corner than his truck. (measured center of hub to top of fender opening)

Oh damn, this isnt good. I shouldnt have even looked in the classified's on that site, let alone posted here. So much for saving up my money?? Lol

I guess buying it will surely cancel the possible plans to go see a concert in Nashville and stay down there a few days. I'm probalby also setting myself back for the valve springs I want installed.

Well if you are constantly needing to tow heavy stuff I would just take your dads stock bumper. I like the looks of the Ranch hand bumper though, it would go good on your truck.

I like the old school DMI bumpers on those trucks or just the stock ones. You know the ones that the rich farmers would always get right away when they bought new trucks.

Yeah, I LOVE the DMI bumpers, but they are impossible to find and I'm not going to pay the price for a new one. Besides, I'm not sure if you have to use a DMI hitch or not with them, I've heard you do. And a DMI hitch will not hold up at a truck pull.. when I decide to pull with the truck

I don't like the ranchhand, it looks like it makes the truck a foot longer...
I can't for the life of me remember who makes the bumpers for that gen that I really like, and can't find any pictures. Hmm..

I am not going for a 100% stock look. I want the truck to look a little beefier. Hence wanting to put larger tires and wider wheels on it. As well as the bumper. Oh, and IF I get it, I won't be putting a ranch hand on the front. I found one for sale., they want $600 for it. I prefer the chrome grill on the front.

The guy is 4.5 hours away in Kentucky. His buddy was originally going to meet me about 2.5 hours away, just north of Cincinnati for a few extra bucks, but is now unavailable. So he's going to see if he has time to meet me himself. I like the idea of saving 4 hours of drive time, and 240 miles if at all possible. Lol

EDIT: Just confirmed that the bumper is actually for a Super Duty Powerstroke and not the OBS Powerstroke like mine. I guess I was looking for a reason to just continue saving my money, and found one lol.

If I find another rear bumper for a similiar price, I'll probably take it. For now though, back to saving my money up. This is fun, new, and exciting! Haha
