New tool box.

I finally got something that I have been wanting for along time! I bought a Duralast low profile tool box locally off a guy from craigslist.

I paid $110 for it which I think is a smoking deal. It came with Grip-rite mounts that worked great.

I am going to cut my stock bed rails and then put them back on. I think Christan did it when he had his Ranger.

All of ours look great. All the low profiles around my area go for about $150 so I got a good deal.

Those of you who paid $50 got a steal.

They are aswome as far as being practical. You can fit tons of stuff in them.

How did you guys mount yours?

Kmow what really sucks, same afternoon I got mine the exact one popped up on Craigslist for 120. It was like 2 hours ago so it wasn't worth it in gas to go get it. I love how I don't even see it in my rear-view mirror, the only thing that sucks is I gotta take it back out this weekend for my body lift lol

i used the little better built mounts for mine from lowe's. No drilling. Mine didn't have a key, so i got a 'universal' lock cylinder for like a big cabinent or something...same exact thing, cost me $4! I have all kinds of stuff floating around that thing.

I used the same things. The Grip Rites or whatever, worked great for me. That sucker isn't going anywhere. Mine came with a lock, seems pretty darn secure too.

Does anyone have any pics of Christian's truck when he had the low profile and the bed rails on? I wanted to see what it looked like before I started cutting.

Thanks.

Has anyone ever seen or mounted a light in a tool box?

In the first pic you can't see it, but it's a chrome push button switch off like a set of kc's... It's green lit when they're off and red when they're on... I think...

I just wired the switch to a fuse on my fuse junction from delcity.net and ran the acc wire off the switch to the positive wire on the lights... then ran the ground to the ground that goes to my compressor and relay in the box as well

I think the lights were about $15-$20 a pair.. Then I replaced the led's that were on each light with 55k mcd led's for a more white look, made it a lil brighter too... Same with under the hood...

I have a thread somewhere with what I did, with the before and after pics of the new LED's and the old and install and stuff...

It helps SO much at night when I'm looking for a tool to work on my friends' broke down chevys lol
