Question for guys with rock sliders

Are sliders strong enough to use to jack your truck up?

I've picked up a hi-lift and want a more accessible spot to use the jack under and protect my doors. I was thinking of doing a "half slider" just a 2" square steel bar running along the bottom of the body mounted to the frame. I can always add some width to it later if I want.

Oh, and how many point do you have it mounted to the frame (especially on an extended cab)?

Thanks

yes a slider should be able to hold the truck up. 3-4 legs to the frame is pretty standard.

x2.The idea of a slider is to protect the body from damage, and if it can't support the weight of the truck to be jacked up from, then when the truck comes down on the slider, it's pretty much useless, and may actually cause MORE damage (similar to most "grill guards" when you get in an accident).
